We hold a Cookery Saturday Academy for 13-16 year olds at Nescot in Ewell, near Epsom. Our academies are fun and instructive Saturday courses that last four weeks. They start at 10am and finish at 1pm on consecutive Saturdays.

Learn how to cook with our professional chef lecturers. Across the four weeks you will prepare and cook a range of interesting dishes. If you’ve been before, we do all new recipes in every season of our Academies. You will gain new skills and confidence alongside developing your knowledge and understanding of ingredients and a healthy balanced diet.

The cost for all four weeks is £95.00.

Students are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the start time and to be picked up promptly at the end time. Students will need to provide proof of age on arrival.

Come and join our Saturday Cookery Academy and unleash your inner chef.  Our instructors will guide you through a variety of culinary techniques in our well equipped industry standard professional cookery training kitchens.  You will make fantastic cakes and delicious main course dishes.   Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or a budding foodie our classes are designed to teach new skills , encourage you to experiment with flavours and create mouth watering dishes that will impress your friends and family.  Sign up today and embark on a culinary adventure.

We are proposing the following menus over the four weeks but please note this is subject to change.

Week 1: Chocolate Cookies and Lemon Cookies.  The session will also include an introduction in getting used to working in a professional kitchen

Week 2: Chunky Sausage Pasta Bake – learn how to use different cooking methods – boiling, frying and baking

Week 3: Grilled Chicken Tomato and Basil Bruschetta.  Will include learning how to handle and de-bone a chicken

Week 4: Iced Christmas Biscuits.

Refunds Policy

Please note that we are not able to issue refunds once a place on a Saturday Academy is booked. We are happy, however, to allow a student name change on the booking should a friend/relative wish to take the place instead. The booking name change must be made at least 3 working days ahead of the first class taking place.
