Media Make-Up and Hair Academy

We hold a Saturday Academy in Media Make-Up for 13-16 year olds at Nescot in Ewell, near Epsom. Our academies are fun and instructive Saturday courses that last four weeks. They start at 10am and finish at 1pm on consecutive Saturdays.

Are you interested to know how TV and theatre use make up and theatrical make up to create different looks and designs. If so , this 4 week course is for you.  Each week you will focus on a different theme/look and re-create one of your own.  

Week 1: Fantasy & Animal Print Face/Arm Art
Focus on creating imaginative fantasy and animal print designs using Kryolan and Snazaroo body art products.

Week 2: Era/Historical Makeup
Explore Era/Historical makeup techniques ranging from the 1930s-80s with a focus on aging effects. A latex patch test will be conducted the week prior to ensure safety.

Week 3: Festival Look
Create vibrant and creative festival-inspired makeup designs.

Week 4: Avant-Garde Makeup
Showcase the skills and techniques learned throughout the previous weeks by creating an avant-garde look, featuring face and arm charts to illustrate the final designs.

The cost for all four weeks is £95.00.

Students are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the start time and to be picked up promptly at the end time. Students will need to provide proof of age on arrival.

Refunds Policy

Please note that we are not able to issue refunds once a place on a Saturday Academy is booked. We are happy, however, to allow a student name change on the booking should a friend/relative wish to take the place instead. The booking name change must be made at least 3 working days ahead of the first class taking place.
