Hair & Media Make-Up Academy

We hold a Saturday Academy in Media Make-Up for 13-16 year olds at Nescot in Ewell, near Epsom. Our academies are fun and instructive Saturday courses that last four weeks. They start at 10am and finish at 1pm on consecutive Saturdays.

Step into the world of special effects! This 4-week course will have you creating bruises, scars, burns and ageing effects, then pulling it all together in a full festive character look to showcase your skills. Perfect for budding make-up artists or anyone who loves drama, film and creativity!

Week 1: Introduction to products: Bruises/ Scratches/ Painted Scars / Scar wax - Latex patch test

Week 2: Making your own products: Putty and Blood / Cuts / Bullet holes / Burns with Latex

Week 3: Theatrical and TV Character Ageing / Face Charts / Practise Skills learnt so far

Week 4: Final Look - Full Character Make-up & Showcasing look. (Christmas theme as the last session is at the start of December) 

The cost for all four weeks is £95.00.

Students are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the start time and to be picked up promptly at the end time. Students will need to provide proof of age on arrival.

Refunds Policy

Please note that we are not able to issue refunds once a place on a Saturday Academy is booked. We are happy, however, to allow a student name change on the booking should a friend/relative wish to take the place instead. The booking name change must be made at least 3 working days ahead of the first class taking place.
