Computing  Saturday Academy -  Tech Creators: From 3D modelling to Robotics and Games

We hold a Saturday Academy in Computing for 13-16 year olds at Nescot in Ewell, near Epsom. Our academies are fun and instructive Saturday courses that last four weeks. They start at 10am and finish at 1pm on consecutive Saturdays, the 14th, 21st, 28th November and the 5th December 2026.

The cost for all four weeks is £95.00.

Students are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the start time and to be picked up promptly at the end time. Students will need to provide proof of age on arrival.

Ever wondered how the things you see in games, robots and the world around you are actually made? Join our 4-week Saturday Academy and turn your ideas into reality — designing your own 3D creations, programming robots and building your first computer game!

Get hands-on with technology, learn new skills, be creative and make something you can take home. No previous experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to have a go!

Week 1 and Week 2: Introduction to 3D Modelling.  Learn how 3D objects are created and design  your own 3D model which will be printed for you to take home in the form of keyrings

Week 3: Discover the world of robotics through hands on activities with our own robot ‘Peppa’ and Nao Robots.  Explore how robots move, respond and learn about some of the principles behind robotics and human-robot interaction.

Week 4: Step into Game development.  Learn the fundamentals of programming using GDevelop.  Students will explore logic, events, characters and game mechanics as they create and develop their own playable game.

Refunds Policy

Please note that we are not able to issue refunds once a place on a Saturday Academy is booked. We are happy, however, to allow a student name change on the booking should a friend/relative wish to take the place instead. The booking name change must be made at least 3 working days ahead of the first class taking place.
