Our Staff

Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff are industry qualified and experienced practitioners, designers, directors, technicians and theatre professionals. This means that we can bring real and relevant experience to you and your work.We also work with other industry professionals who provide specialist workshops in elements such as scriptwriting, stage combat and classical theatre.

Our Facilities

The department has excellent facilities including two full-scale Theatres (Black Box and Proscenium Arch), an Acting Studio, a Dance Studio, as well as good quality teaching rooms with Interactive White Boards and networked computers. We also have an extensive scenic workshop for set building and fully-stocked costume and props stores.

Working in and with the industry

We want to give you a real taste of the industry whilst you're studying with us. As a company, we have been out on tour both with a pantomime and self-written Christmas play and know this offers an exciting style of performance. You will also work together in full-scale productions in both onstage and backstage roles, which provides a completely different view of performance.

We enrich your education with theatre visits, both to watch performances and tour backstage. We also receive stage schools such as Mountview and Laban to perform for us here at Nescot. We work with industry professionals, who provide workshops and training in elements such as scriptwriting, classical theatre, commedia dell'arte and stage combat. We also invite guest speakers and past pupils to provide an insight into higher education, the industry and a career path.
