Construction Trades

We hold a Saturday Academy in Construction Trades for 13-16 year olds at Nescot in Ewell, near Epsom. Our academies are fun and instructive Saturday courses that last four weeks. They start at 10am and finish at 1pm on consecutive Saturdays.

Over four weeks you’ll get a taster of the construction trades – with lots of practical activities from plumbing to carpentry to electrical.

The Academy will include one week of plumbing  which will include practical activities where students make sample joints on different pipe types, one week of electrical focussing on constructing and testing electrical components and two weeks of carpentry learning about the hand tools used and will include practical activities to create a memento out of wood.

The cost for all four weeks is £95.00.

Students are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the start time and to be picked up promptly at the end time. Students will need to provide proof of age on arrival.

Refunds Policy

Please note that we are not able to issue refunds once a place on a Saturday Academy is booked. We are happy, however, to allow a student name change on the booking should a friend/relative wish to take the place instead. The booking name change must be made at least 3 working days ahead of the first class taking place.
